A Quilting Weekend

    You have been watching the Round Robin quilts growing.  Here is one more.  Another is on the sewing machine.  These are so interesting, challenging and rewarding.

     Also, while I was down with the injuries from the wreck, lots of friends sent me "Wonky Geese" and there they are so far.  Thank you everyone.

When I was reviewing prior blog entries I saw that I had not posted the two prior Round Robins.  Here they are.  They are being worked on by others now.

Also, I saw a YouTube Video for Quilt 1600 - made with only a jelly roll, sewn end to end then side to side.  This took very little time once they had all been sewn together.  There was no plan and yet a relatively enjoyable quilt - maybe for a teenager.

Continuing Quilty Endeavors

I vowed to complete some projects on this long weekend.  I may have set my sights high - what with Hubby turning 65, brother coming to visit mom and lots of televised racing.  However, here is my latest doll quilt - Amish Doll Quilt - with about.com.  I hope the ultimate recipient will like this one.














Also, I finished the quilted post cards I have been working on.  Maybe I will finish more tomorrow.

The first three weeks of each month we will make blocks based on that set of skills and the forth week will be a catch up week. Everyone who is caught up at the end of the month will be entered in a drawing for a special prize. (Probably fabric, because everyone Loves fabric, right?)

By the end of the year you will have 36 twelve inch blocks you can make into a queen sized quilt or you can divide them up and make several smaller quilts. But more importantly, you will have the skills and the confidence to tackle any quilting project you can dream up. Priceless."

I think this might be fun and I think I will try working on something scrappy to use up some of my stash instead of buying new right now.
